Journey to the Bridegroom

This collection is a set of several visually impactful images showing the journey we go through to become ready for the Bridegroom, aka Jesus Christ. As we learn to love Him, He guides and shapes us, molding us into who and what He's called and created us to be.

Hearts' Cry

In “Hearts’ Cry” we meet the Bride before she even realizes she’s been called. She comes to the altar out of deep need, but cannot lift her head to even look at her King. Even though she doesn’t know how to go on, He sends the Comforter, who wraps her in love and reminds her that He’s far from done with her story. Even as the storms of life threaten to wash over and overtake her, she is covered and kept by His love. She is his beloved even before she realizes she’s worthy of love.  (Jeremiah 29:11-14)

"At His Feet"

“At His Feet” is where the Bride finds herself as she fully commits her everything to the King. She’s broken her idols and chosen to seek His face with all of her mind, soul, and spirit. Pouring everything out on His feet, we see her transformed into a vibrant and beautiful being, full of new life even as she lays it all at His feet. (Luke 7:36-50)

"In His Hands"

"In His Hands" is where we next meet the Bride, as she dons her white gown, fully submitting her will and life to the hands of the Potter as He guides and shapes her into the perfect vessel. Despite being larger than life, His hands are gentle, mindfully shaping her. Her heart breaks open and releases new oil, despite having poured out all she had "At His Feet." (Jeremiah 18:1-4; Isaiah 64:8)

"To The Altar" (Coming Soon)

The Bride, having been molded and shaped by the Potter and given new oil and a new garment, is ready at last to meet the Bridegroom at the altar. As she approaches Him, with the seven stars in his hand and a two-edged sword at the ready, she sees his fiery eyes, his hair, white as wool, adorned with a crown of thorns and a crown of glory, and hears his voice like rushing waters. He wears her scars on his hands and bronze feet as he enters in on a cloud. The other six women, six of the seven churches of Revelation clamor to reach the altar, but despite their best efforts, they fall short. Whether they became lukewarm, lived righteously but permitted unrighteousness, or simply allowed shame and broken-heartedness to become their ruler instead of the King of Heaven and Earth, they failed to be ready for his arrival. The Bride, having done all that was asked of her to reach Him, carries sweet smelling fragrances of praise as she at last is welcomed by her Bridegroom. (Song of Solomon; Revelation 2)
